Gordon House
This project is floor preservation of The Gordon House designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, located in Silverton, Oregon. This building is open to the public for tours as well as receptions. Through a collaborative effort between Bryan Matthews, John Fotheringham, and material supplier Prosoco, the interior and exterior floors of this gem were able to be restored to a visually stunning appearance that can also withstand the foot traffic of more than 100,000 visitors each year.
A flex space
This is an existing slab with various grades of polish and some acid staining.
A tattoo parlor
Back in February, we did this beautiful logo on the lobby floor of The Black Label Tattoo Collective. We did an overlay and metallic epoxy on an existing, old, really beat up slab of concrete. This logo is an example of our specialized dye patterns.
A hair salon
This the Novo Salon in Eugene, Oregon. Here we did the walls, floor, and ceiling; on the walls, we did the woodwork, put an overlay with a polish on the floor, and a drywall coating on the ceiling. In the bathroom, we built a custom concrete countertop.
Restaurants & Breweries
A prominent commercial catering outfit
The Loft at 8th Avenue received a concrete floor with stain and polish to help it last for decades with heavy amounts of foot traffic.
A Wine Bar
This beautiful wine bar received a concrete overlay with a grind and polish.
The exterior of a brewery
The Ninkasi Brewery received a concrete patio with custom made concrete furniture.
A Wine Bar
This wine bar received a concrete floor with stain and polish to help it last for decades.
Retail Stores
A boutique retail store
We did the floor for New Twist, a boutique retail store that sells jewelry and other cool stuff.
A large fashion retailer
Nordstrom Rack needed flooring which could withstand the high foot traffic of a retail environment without requiring a lot of maintenance. We were able to work with their existing 25-year-old concrete slab and bring it up to the necessary standards with grinding and polishing. No tint was added to this flooring finish as the restoration process alone resulted in the desired look for the client.
Industrial Manufacturing Warehouse Facilities
An old warehouse
We repaired an existing slab in real disrepair. There is quite a bit of grease and particulate embedding into the pores of the floor. Our solution was a fluid applied system that would give them a durable surface that was easy to clean and slip-resistant.
Medical Facilities
A dental office
This is a polished concrete floor done in lab/office space.
Government & Education Facilities
The University of Oregon
We did a polished metal inlay inspired by Pablo Picasso’s Seated Bather at the main counter area. We did and EMU acid stain to the common areas on three floors and in the Craft Center. This was an epoxy floor with a solid base coat and then a meandering second color applied Pollock style. In the Living Learning Center, we did a repair on the existing (previously installed by another company) concrete floor. First, we removed the sealer, followed by a clean and re-stain, and then sealed and waxed it.
The Lane Community College Long House
We did the floor for the entrance of the Long House. We made a specialized dye pattern of purple, blue, and white diamond details.
Commercial Residential Homes
A 54 multi-family unit building
This old building in Portland is a remodel for lower-income housing. We did a polish with a walnut acid stain throughout.
